Regin, Charles | back Dr. Regin is the director of the UNLV Center for Health Promotion whose missions include the expansion of national wellness and fitness initiatives for firefighters. Dr. Regin is involved in developing an electronic system designed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease among firefighters. Dr. Regin has authored articles on firefighter wellness and fitness, stress management, humor, and program planning and has written a weekly newspaper column on health. He has been actively involved in corporate and agency wellness programs for companies such as NIKE, AT&T, North Las Vegas Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue. He is the recipient of six excellence in teaching awards including CSUN's Faculty Excellence Award for the University and the College of Education's Lily Fong Distinguished Professor of the Year Award. He is also active in the professional health organizations of the American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and the American Association of Health Education. |
