Cochran, Christopher | back

Dr. Cochran has co-authored several articles, technical reports and professional papers concerning the health care needs of the medically under-served and the organizations that provide services to that population. His work has focused on management issues and quality improvement in public organizations. Dr. Cochran teaches in the areas of public health and public policy, managerial epidemiology, health planning and marketing, strategic management, inter-organizational relations, and management of health care organizations. He also directs the student practicum for the program, a full-time work experience course that places students in health care organizations to help them gain valuable experience in the field. Dr. Cochran also serves as a consultant for the Women's Health Connection, a cervical and breast cancer screening program for the Nevada State Health Division. Dr. Cochran also conducted research regarding emergency preparedness of Clark County Hospitals for the Clark County Office of Emergency Management. He also served as the Administrator of a large public alcohol and drug abuse treatment program in Texas.
