During the 2004 academic year, I held the responsibility of drafting, editing and submitting the appropriate forms to establish the School of Public Health , the Program in Environmental and Occupational Health, the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Program and the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. I committed substantial amounts of time and effort to be sure that we could meet the projected start dates and timelines as prescribed the College, University, Provost's office and Board of Regents. Obviously, these efforts were successful and resulted in the formation of the SPH and MPH, in addition the following year I successfully drafted and submitted the proposal to change the Program in Environmental and Occupational Health into a fully functional Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, of which I am the Chair.
