Honors Recognition Ceremony: April 24, 2009 Highlights
Dean Mary Guinan was awarded the Woman in Science Award from the American Medical Women's Association in March at their annual conference in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Dr. Carolee Dodge-Francis received an Appreciation Award from the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, & Kidney Diseases, for her leading role in the development of the Diabetes Education in Tribal Schools, Health is in Balance, K-12 Curriculum.
Dr. Carolee Dodge-Francis received an Appreciation Award from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver, National Institue of Child Health & Human Development, for her contribution to building research capacity at Tribal Colleges and Universities.
Ms. Denise Tanata was presented with a flag by Senator Harry Reid for her exceptional work with children. The flag presented to Denise was one that flew over the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
